The Merry Barn Writers' Retreat of Edgecomb, Maine is a joyful haven where creativity and curiosity are nurtured and celebrated. Jennifer Schmitt is a Portland-area artist who incorporates the human figure and movement into her work in its many expressions. From figurative life drawing to abstract painting, the foundation for her practice lies in the strength and honesty found in the body. She has recently discovered the joy of cold water dips and finds this experience to be an organic extension of her creativity.
